Job Type: Full-time Salary: $77,000 – $85,000 per annum Locations: The Glen, Melbourne CBD: Russell Street, Flinders Street, Elizabeth Street Shujinko Ramen is a Japanese ramen restaurant straight out of Tokyo. It is a rapidly growing brand located in the heart of Melbourne CBD and surrounding areas, with restaurants on Russell Street, Elizabeth Street and Flinders Street, as well as a location in Glen Waverley. We specialise in high‑quality, authentic Japanese ramen and cuisine, and are proud to bring an authentic Tokyo dining experience to Melbourne. We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Cooks / Chefs to join our team across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience, a strong willingness to learn, a positive “can‑do” attitude, and the desire to grow alongside our Venue Manager and kitchen team. Main Responsibilities: Ensure exceptional food quality and timely service at all times Contribute to the development of new menu items in line with business needs Follow and comply with the Food Safety Program, including accurate and timely reporting Create and maintain a thorough cleaning roster to ensure the highest kitchen hygiene standards Complete food costings, inventory checks, and other kitchen‑related reports as required Assist in the training and development of kitchen staff Receive deliveries, conduct stocktaking, place orders, and liaise with suppliers Maintain agreed KPIs and work closely with the management team to ensure business profitability Skills and Attributes: Relevant qualifications: Certificates III or IV in Commercial Cookery or a relevant Diploma in Hospitality Management Fluency in English Genuine passion for Japanese food and ramen culture Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills If you are passionate about authentic Japanese ramen and want to be part of a growing, energetic team, we would love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
