Our success is based on hiring outstanding people and accepting nothing less than being the best at what we do.About the role -The Head of Network Finance will create awareness that builds sustainable profitability and growth within LMG's network of broker businesses. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in empowering franchise agreement holders to make informed financial decisions, with a focus on larger businesses.The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background and use their commercial acumen and experience to build ongoing relationships, gain trust and help businesses implement strategies that will grow their revenue, margins and bottom line.Key objectives for this role:Design an industry leading methodology for analysing the financial performance and profitability of a mortgage broking business.Advising LMG franchise agreement holders on their financial performance and profitability.Calculating LMG network benchmarks and metrics so that businesses can compare themselves to their peers, and identify areas of strength and weakness.Designing, building and developing the necessary financial systems to capture and report financial performance and profitability for individual businesses and network benchmarks.Communicating benchmarks and results to the network and industry to improve awareness and support financial decision making.Identifying and facilitating network growth opportunities through recruitment, mergers, acquisitions and succession.Key responsibilities -LMG Network ProfitabilityFinancial support to existing businesses via reviews of historical financial results to help businesses understand profitability by business unit and by individual brokerBuild annual plans/budgets/strategies to help businesses grow and reach their potentialConversion of businesses to the LMG profit systemsComplete a quarterly review with each business using the LMG profit systems and benchmarking analysisSupport business owners in their decision making in relation to all business transactions.Network GrowthAssist LMG in ensuring potential recruits are sufficiently capitalised and the right fit for the proposed market.Support to new recruits through ongoing meetings and financial analysis.Assist business owners through the merger/acquisition/succession process and deal completionTo succeed in this role you will bring with you:Minimum 4 years post completion of CA/CPA qualificationMinimum of 5 years in a senior commercial accounting/financial consulting roleSignificant experience in core accounting and taxationSolid understanding of business and legal structures (i.e. shareholder agreements, entity structuring)Solid knowledge of Xero and prior use of analytical platformsCommunication and presentation skills of a high standard, including the ability to build rapport with different stakeholders quicklyExperience in supporting a broad range of clientsOur benefits -6 ‘Me’ days per year - days on top of your annual leave allowance to look after number 1, you16 weeks paid parental leave & up to 52 weeks paid superannuationPaid Fertility Treatment leave12 days personal leavePaid Study leave - let us help you develop your career by supporting your studiesHybrid working - flex the working week in a way that suits you.Internal L&D programs - boost your skills and help carve your career path.Religious and cultural swap leave - swap a public holiday for a day you prefer to celebrateOption to purchase additional annual leave - sometimes you need some extra time and we want to give you that choice.LMGPerks - Save thousands of dollars and grab huge discounts with the biggest brandsPaid volunteer day - take a paid day away from work to support a cause close to you.Employee referral program - we love it when our people refer their peopleWellbeing support - EAP to support you personally including financial and career advice.LMG high performers join our Accelerate program - we invest in your career and personal developmentAt LMG, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential to our success.
