Senior Accountant | 12 Month Contract | Up to $145k package | FMCG 12-month contract | Up to $145k package | Immediate start South-east suburbs | WFH 1 day a week High-growth FMCG manufacturer | Hands-on Accountant role 12-month contract | Up to $145k package | Immediate start South-east suburbs | WFH 1 day a week The Opportunity Our client is a privately owned, growing manufacturing business based in Melbourne’s South eastern suburbs. They offer a supportive and collaborative environment, and reputation for being people‑first and performance‑focused. This Senior Accountant contract will allow you to take ownership of financial control, tax compliance and ensure robust reporting. It is a hands‑on role, well‑suited to someone with experience working in an SME environment, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG. The Challenge Key responsibilities will include: Leading month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely reporting Delivering budgets and forecasts, providing commentary and decision support to the business Preparing KPI reporting and providing commercial insights Overseeing compliance including GST/BAS and statutory reporting Managing working capital, including AR/AP performance and cash‑flow forecasting Driving enhancements to financial processes, controls, and ERP systems The Expertise Please consider expressing your interest in the position if you have most of the following: CA / CPA qualification with relevant post‑qualified experience Background in FMCG, manufacturing or similar industries Experience in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance Strong capability in cash‑flow forecasting and working capital management Experience improving processes, controls, and systems Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders The Next Step If this position will enhance your career and you would like further details on the client, the role, remuneration or a copy of the position description, please call Thomas Burt for a confidential discussion on ***.
