Cloud Security/DevSecOps Specialist

About the Company Our client is one of the largest logistic companies in Australia. They are well-organized in transportation of essential goods and services across Australia. About the Role We are looking for a Cloud Security Specialist with a passion for safeguarding and enhancing Azure-based environments. In this role, you will combine proactive threat hunting with hands‑on cloud engineering and infrastructure‑as‑code, playing a key part in strengthening our security posture. Responsibilities Proactively hunt for threats using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Sentinel. Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities across Azure environments. Design and manage infrastructure with Bicep, ARM templates, and Terraform for scalable, repeatable deployments. Develop and maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines to support secure continuous integration and deployment. Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of cloud engineering projects, from design and delivery to ongoing improvement. Configure and manage Azure resources including compute, storage, networking, and identity services. Analyse Azure cost and usage data to uncover inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Skills and Experience Proven experience in Azure cloud engineering and security. Strong knowledge of cloud security operations, including threat detection, incident response, and forensics. Expertise with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, and other Azure‑native security tools. Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform. Proficiency with Azure DevOps, including YAML pipelines, CI/CD, and source control management.
