Location: Darwin (Commencing 2026 at our new Berrimah Office) Join a team that values your growth, expertise, and contributions The Northern Land Council is seeking a motivated Customer Service Officer to undertake the provision of front desk administration services and general support for the NLC Darwin Head Office Reception Area. About the Role As a Customer Service Officer , you will support the smooth operation of the front desk by responding to phone and face-to-face enquiries, assisting visitors, and managing the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence and deliveries. You’ll engage professionally and respectfully with a wide range of stakeholders, including constituents, visitors, and contractors, while performing general administrative tasks such as maintaining records, preparing documents, scheduling appointments, and supporting other office functions as required. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with front desk team, follow all organisational policies and procedures, uphold confidentiality and the Code of Conduct, and participate in performance development and ongoing training. You will also contribute to a safe workplace by adhering to WHS requirements and promptly reporting hazards or incidents within the specified timeframes. What you will Bring You’ll be organised, reliable, and eager to learn. With good communication and teamwork skills, you handle tasks efficiently and support the team in a positive, professional way. In addition to this, you will have: Practical experience in a front desk, administration, office environment or an equivalent combination of training/education and experience. Good attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work with a range of computer software products, in particular Microsoft Word and Outlook. The ability to confidently and respectfully communicate with people across the organisation as well as Traditional Owners (TOs), our constituents and members of the general public. The ability to organise and prioritize tasks as required. The ability to be punctual and have excellent attendance to work commitments. Have high level cross-cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively liaise, engage and coordinate across an organisation. We offer: A base salary of $64,542 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year; Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include: District allowance of up to $4,884 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,678 without dependents; 5 weeks annual leave , leaving loading, 18 days personal leave; Paid Christmas close down; Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177; Interested applicants should send a copy of their CV along with a cover letter outlining why you are interested in this position and what relevant skills and expertise you will bring to this role?
