The Role As an Urgent Care Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of timely, high-quality care. Working closely with the Urgent Care medical practitioner, you will: Assess and triage patients on arrival to determine service suitability Deliver immediate front‑line clinical care Contribute to a collaborative, fast‑paced team environment focused on patient‑centered outcomes About You AHPRA Registered Nurse. Must be available evenings and weekends. Required to provide a Working with Children Check and National Police Check. Previous experience in triage within an emergency department preferred but not essential. Experience in remote nursing, coronary care, critical care, ICU, or at least 3 years of experience in acute care settings. 3 years’ experience as an RN preferred. ICU nursing experience is welcomed. Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalates appropriately. Strong communication skills both verbal and written and a high level of critical thinking. Can work autonomously and delegate when appropriate. A passion for people with a personable approach. Your Responsibilities Responsible for triage of all patients who present to Urgent Care Conduct comprehensive and accurate nursing triage Act promptly for any triaged patients requiring emergency escalation or due to deterioration. Perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability for the dynamic Urgent Care environment. Deliver high‑quality, person‑centered care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners. Ensure patients achieve desired clinical outcomes. Provide essential health education to patients. Complete all documentation accurately and promptly. Onboarding & Training The onboarding process includes paid training in Triage with the Australasian Triage Scale for those transitioning into the urgent care space.
