Underground Mining/Resources Trainer and Assessor Occupational Health Services Australia – Brisbane QLD We are looking for someone who loves training and assessing and is 100% committed to quality outcomes without compromise. Role Overview As a priority, we are interested in a trainer/assessor who can deliver Standard 11 underground and surface mining inductions. The role is full-time (Murarrie, Brisbane), but we are open to contractors who can deliver our underground induction on a weekly or possibly fortnightly schedule. Responsibilities Deliver and assess underground induction. Conduct training and assessment for Surface & Underground Induction. Develop training products in accordance with unit of competency requirements. Use video conferencing (e.g., Zoom) for online assessment via LMS. Work various away from home and FIFO/DIDO rosters when training contracts require, including weekend or site work. Qualifications and Experience A minimum of 2 years of recent underground specific mining experience. Minimum five years of recent broad resource sector experience. Hold Cert IV TAE40116 or TAE40122. Hold current Standard 11 Mining Inductions, Surface & Underground. Hold a current driver’s licence. Hold Australian work rights. Competent in computer software applications, emails, PowerPoint, LMS. Good knowledge of the VET sector and compliance requirements. Demonstrated professional development log. Proficient with video conferencing (Zoom) and online assessment using an LMS. Experience in developing training products per unit of competency. Be available for regular weekend work and travel away from home on occasion. Strong communication, interpersonal, honest, trustworthy, reliable, strong work ethic. Physically capable of performing all critical physical demands of the training and assessing requirements. Current mining supervisor (G1, G8, G9/S123), G2, Work at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid, Fire Safety Advisor, WHS competencies.
