Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated Sleep Scientists (Grade 1) to join the Department of Respiratory and Sleep department. Pleae note: There are multiple positions available. Both full time and part time will be considered. Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About the Role: Northern Health is thrilled to announce the launch of our innovative Sleep Medicine Service This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic Sleep Scientists (Grade 1) to join our team and be part of the team who will develop this ground-breaking service. Key Responsibilities Perform all overnight and evening diagnostic and treatment sleep studies and other testing. Perform implementation of PAP therapy, including mask fitting and patient education. Assist and participate with the ongoing quality assurance program, including achieving and maintaining ASA/NATA accreditation Provide input to the structure and function of Sleep laboartory to ensure the safe and efficient integration of testing and clinical follow-up Assist with the development and conduct teaching / training programs To be successful in this role you will have: Previous knowledge and experience across a broad range of sleep physiological measurements (desired no essential) Previous knowledge of scientific equipment and quality assurance (desired no essential) Have a focus on operational excellence and team collaboration Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Next Steps If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
