SCH - Hospital Scientist - Sleep Unit - REQ NSW Health invites applications for the Role of Hospital Scientist in the Sleep Unit at Randwick. Employment Type : Permanent Part Time Position Classification : Scientific Off Remuneration : 76,378.47 – 108,941.55 (full time equivalent base salary; excludes super, leave loading and salary packaging) Hours Per Week : 36 Requisition ID : REQ Applications Close : Midnight on 15 December 2025 What You'll Be Doing The Sleep Medicine supports diagnostic and treatment facilities to infants, children and adolescents with sleep associated and chronic respiratory disorders. The Scientific Officer works alongside the continuum of Sleep Medicine, mainly working with patients in the wards and at home, and liaises with the Sleep Unit. The role involves working collaboratively with patients, families, nursing, medical and Biomedical Engineering staff. Responsibilities include initiating, assessing, teaching and managing non‑invasive sleep equipment to enable patients to successfully transition to home. About You Bachelor of Science with a health‑care related discipline. Experience with non‑invasive pressure support / ventilation, including patient monitoring, respiratory, intensive care or sleep studies.
