We are now seeking a skilled and driven Stakeholder Engagement Officer to join our dedicated Dormway Project delivery team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of the BBT program and requires a strategic, proactive, and community‑focused approach to engagement. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of meaningful, large‑scale infrastructure that directly benefits local communities. What You’ll Be Doing Day to day strategic engagement efforts to support project delivery and maintain community confidence. Communicate professionally and respectfully with a broad range of stakeholders—internal, external, and community‑based. Coordinate timely notifications via phone and written communication to ensure a “no surprises” approach to works. Monitor, respond to, and help resolve complaints and concerns in collaboration with the project team. Identify and elevate stakeholder issues that may impact project timelines or reputation. Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism in all communications. Plan and coordinate day‑to‑day engagement activities across multiple project sites to ensure the community and stakeholders are informed ahead of works, changes and impacts. Support the development and implementation of Communication Control Plans (CCPs) for key projects.Prepare and distribute clear, timely notifications (letters, emails, flyers, SMS and phone calls) in line with project timelines and distribution maps. Make proactive customer calls ahead of planned impacts such as water interruptions, driveway access, noise, or traffic changes; ensuring the community is never surprised by works. Attend site visits and toolbox talks to stay up to date with upcoming works and ensure communication aligns with construction sequencing. Monitor and respond to enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a respectful and solution‑focused manner, ensuring prompt follow‑up. Maintain an accurate stakeholder engagement register, recording conversations, commitments, and required follow‑up actions. Identify and elevate emerging issues early where community or stakeholder concerns may impact project delivery, safety, or reputation. Work closely with Project Managers, Foremen, and the Communications & Marketing Lead to ensure messaging, timing, and engagement decisions are clear and coordinated. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a seasoned stakeholder engagement professional who thrives in complex, fast‑paced environments and understands the nuances of working on high‑profile infrastructure projects. You’ll bring: Strong experience in stakeholder and community engagement, ideally on infrastructure or public sector projects. Qualifications in communications, stakeholder engagement, public relations, or a related field (preferred). Hands‑on experience supporting projects within a construction or infrastructure delivery setting. The ability to balance community expectations with project requirements. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
