Test Environment and Release Manager

As the Test Environment and Release Manager, you will lead the creation and ongoing enhancement of our test environment and release management function. You will be responsible for developing strategy, governance, and operational processes that support environment provisioning, lifecycle management, and deployment governance across multiple programmes and platforms. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, testing, and delivery teams to ensure that environments are consistently available and meet the needs of our stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement, automation, and alignment with enterprise delivery objectives. 10+ years in IT, including at least 5 years specialising in test environment and/or release management within large-scale enterprise settings Proven ability to design and implement governance frameworks, environment management models, and release processes from inception, ideally within regulated or complex industries such as banking, finance, insurance, or telecoms Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of partnering effectively across technical and non-technical teams, including senior leadership Technical proficiency in environment automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git A delivery-focused mindset, demonstrating leadership, organisation, and resilience in managing priorities, driving change, and fostering continuous improvement.
