Part‑time Service Support Employee – Kitchen Assistant (HammondCare Waratah) HammondCare Waratah invites applications for a Kitchen Assistant to support our resident‑first care model. The role involves delivering high‑quality kitchen services to residents in accordance with the organisational mission and the Mission in Action statement. Responsibilities Provide kitchen services to residents, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Work flexible shifts, including weekends, to meet resident needs. Assist with food preparation and cooking within an aged‑care environment. Follow all cleaning guidelines and schedules for equipment and working surfaces. Apply safe manual handling techniques and standard precautions. Maintain a safe working environment through proper food handling practices. Qualifications & Requirements Experience preparing and cooking in an aged‑care environment is advantageous. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Team‑work oriented with the initiative to identify and solve issues. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment. Consent to a criminal record check, pre‑employment medical assessment, and NDIS Worker’s Screening check for shortlisted applicants.
