Permanent and fixed-term opportunities available Located in: Frankston, Mornington Peninsula & Surrounds Classification: Pharmacist Grade 1, Year 1 (SW5) to Grade 2, Year 4 (SX5)* plus super On 1st January 2026, five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health; a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1st January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health. The Team & Role The Pharmacy Department at Peninsula Health operates across four campuses: Frankston, Golf Links Road (Frankston), Mornington, and Rosebud. Clinical pharmacy services are delivered from satellite pharmacies located within patient care areas. We are a forward-thinking, innovative team offering extended scope of practice services, including Partnered Pharmacist Medicine Charting, a pharmacist-initiated e-prescription transcription service, and a pharmacist-led ambulatory clinic for inflammatory bowel disease. We place a strong emphasis on research to support advancements in practice. Pharmacy provides a range of clinical and operational services in our acute, sub-acute, mental health and community health services, reporting through to the General Manager Emergency, ICU, Diagnostics and Pharmacy. Under the guidance of Associate Directors of Pharmacy, the clinical pharmacists will work closely with senior pharmacists and clinical educators to deliver safe, personal, effective and connected care to our patients. Peninsula Health is seeking multiple full-time permanent and fixed-term Grade 1 or 2 Pharmacists for upcoming vacancies. 2025 Pharmacy Interns are encouraged to apply. Skills and Experience Required Full Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA) registration with no restrictions to the scope of practice, or an appropriate pharmaceutical qualification eligible for registration. Demonstrated adequate level of clinical knowledge of current drug usage, interactions and counselling. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Highly developed communication and liaison skills. Recent hospital pharmacy experience working as a clinical pharmacist (desirable).
