Overview A newly created role as has arisen for a Project Manager to join Mills Oakley in our Melbourne office on a full-time basis on an initial 18-month contract. Mutual trust and respect are at the heart of everything we do. The Role A newly created role as has arisen for a Project Manager to join Mills Oakley on an initial 18-month contract. This is a Melbourne-based role reporting into the Management team and will be responsible for leading complex Practice Management upgrades and improvements through the firm. From initiation through to completion, the Project Manager will steer cross functional project team/s in achieving the intended results. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Lead various improvement projects to achieve objectives, financial outcomes, and stated benefits; Work with stakeholders throughout the firm and suppliers to identify and manage projects and scope; Participate in design workshops when initiating new projects to align firm objectives and related process improvements; Drive performance to ensure project milestones are met, develop and monitor project schedules and reports; Implement quality assurance processes to drive continuous improvement of quality within the projects; Determine project resource requirements and manage resources effectively to plan; Utilise effective change control processes to document agreed changes to scope, time, or budget; and Develop risk management plans and contingency plans to minimise adverse events and address any issues. Who We Are Looking For To be considered for this key role, you will have: Prior experience with Practice Management Systems in professional services or legal firms (highly regarded) 10+ years of proven project delivery experience within professional services, legal or the technology sector Extensive experience in delivering multiple projects concurrently and highly complex projects Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Technical aptitude to assist with business analysis and process workflow design Ability to convey information clearly and drive discussions with the management team Strong leadership and team management skills, able to lead project teams virtually and in-person Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project is a must, with PMBOK or Prince 2 qualifications preferred Demonstrated and proven capability in effectively mitigating project risks Ability to identify trends in project data to support stakeholder decisions and outcomes What We Offer We take a collaborative approach to your learning & development, giving you the personal attention and unique opportunities required to help you realise your full potential.
