We are seeking a highly technical, Shopify-certified Project Manager who deeply understands the Shopify platform and its ecosystem. This is not an account management role. This is a hands‑on delivery and technical leadership position for someone who can guide developers, architects, and designers to build world‑class Shopify solutions. You will take ownership of end‑to‑end technical delivery, translate business requirements into scalable Shopify architecture, and ensure best‑practice implementation across Liquid, theme development, Shopify Functions, custom apps, integrations, and performance optimisation. You must know Shopify inside out, including its constraints, and be confident in making strong recommendations grounded in platform reality. Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical authority on all Shopify builds, upgrades, and customisations. Translate functional requirements into technical specifications, including architecture, app usage, custom app requirements, Shopify Functions, theme structure, and API dependencies. Guide multidisciplinary dev squads through best‑practice Shopify development, ensuring clean architecture, optimised performance, and scalable foundations. Evaluate Shopify ecosystem apps for suitability, limitations, cost, and long‑term maintainability. Own the full delivery lifecycle: estimation, sprint planning, feature prioritisation, QA oversight, and launch‑readiness. Build detailed technical delivery plans, sequencing Shopify features and integrations logically and efficiently. Run sprint ceremonies (stand‑ups, backlog grooming, dev syncs, release planning). Coordinate cross‑functional teams: front‑end, back‑end/app dev, QA, UX/UI, data, and integrations. Manage risks, blockers, and dependencies, escalating early and appropriately. Qualifications Shopify Certification (or demonstrably equivalent expertise). 4+ years in Shopify technical delivery, technical PM, or solution‑lead roles. Liquid, JSON templates, theme architecture. Shopify Functions. Webhooks, Admin API, Storefront API. Headless builds & Hydrogen. Performance optimisation & Lighthouse audits. 3rd‑party integrations (ERP, OMS, WMS, CRM, subscriptions, loyalty). Shopify app ecosystem and partner platforms.
