Instrumental Music Instructor - Clarinet Southern Cross Grammar – Caroline Springs VIC Southern Cross Grammar is a modern Foundation to Year 12 School with a commitment to personalised learning for students. We welcome applications from experienced and skilled clarinet music instructors to join our vibrant co-curricular music program from Term 1, 2026. We have a thriving instrumental music program and a highly motivated, collaborative and supportive music teaching team. The position is a part‑time 0.2 FTE (1 day per week) ongoing role. Key aspects of the role Plan and deliver high quality clarinet instruction to students across a range of year levels and abilities Prepare students for performances at key school events Prepare students for AMEB examinations Manage administrative tasks including scheduling of lessons Contribute to and participate in the overall musical life of the school, and assist where required with the planning and conduct of music within the school community Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performances and progress Assist and contribute to the planning of public performances, workshops and camps Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, students and parents Experience and qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BMus) or equivalent Current Working with Children Check (VIT registration preferred) Current level 2 First Aid, CPR Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates or willingness to undertake training Experience in teaching AMEB curriculum and facilitating external examinations Capacity and confidence to teach across a range of styles Applications to include Current CV Cover letter outlining your suitability for the role Contact details of three professional referees Southern Cross Grammar is committed to providing a safe environment for all children and young people.
