Division: Integrated Community Health Services Program: Community Programs Department: MH Paediatric Community Health Enterprise Agreement: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sect Job Function: Allied Health Professionals Employment Type: Part-Time (19 hours/week), Ongoing Salary: Grade 2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging About the role Our Community Paediatric Service is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our Paediatric Allied Health Team in a part-time capacity. The role operates within a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to undertake assessment and provide coordinated, evidence based and responsive interventions. The Speech Pathologist will engage effectively with families and carers to provide a family centred service that meets the needs of each child. The position works across a range of multidisciplinary clinics or programs within Paediatric Services. The role will work collaboratively with other clinicians and personnel in the Paediatric Service to share specialist knowledge and skills and enhance clinical outcomes. This Speech Pathology position is based at the Western Health Melton site, but may work across a range of settings as required to provide high quality evidence based care to children and families residing in the Brimbank, Melton and Moorabool regions. Key responsibilities Provide high quality evidence based paediatric services to meet the needs of children and their families Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver services that meet family needs Provide supervision to Grade 1 Speech Pathologists and students Contribute to the ongoing quality improvement of the Paediatric service About you Tertiary qualification in speech pathology Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia Previous experience working as a Speech Pathologist in a paediatric setting Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Western Health is one of the largest healthcare providers in Victoria, caring for a vibrant, diverse and rapidly growing community of one million people in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
