Finance Manager

Vereco Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Mackay. This role a key position within our organisation, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the financial success of the company and reporting directly to COO. What you'll be doing Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management. Presenting commentary to management for needs of improvement. Preparation and management of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts across 4 entities Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards, such as lodgement of BAS, IAS and payroll tax returns Review of monthly progress claims, ensuring compliant with contracts and works completed Monitoring and reconciliation of retention claimsPreparation and monitoring of monthly forecasts Collaborate with other departments to provide financial expertise and support with strategic decision-making What we're looking for Degree in Accounting Experience in contract accounting / management accounting is preferred but not essential Proven track record of financial management, analysis, and reporting Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices Proficient in using excel and accounting programs Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team What we offer At Vereco Pty Ltd, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
