Technical Operations Lead

We are seeking an exceptionally capable senior residential technician to lead from the front and set the benchmark for how premium systems should be delivered. The role begins as a hands-on senior technician, leading complex installations and setting the benchmark for best practice on site while sharing knowledge and experience with the team. As systems, standards and team capability stabilise, the role naturally progresses toward site leadership and operational management. This includes overseeing projects, planning resources, enforcing standards and supporting the team, rather than remaining on the tools full time. This is not a generic AV role. It is a senior position with a clear and intentional pathway from technical leadership into management, with genuine authority to influence outcomes. What you will be responsible for Delivering reference grade home cinema installations, from infrastructure through to commissioning and client handover Setting the benchmark for rack construction, cable management, labelling and documentation consistency Installing and configuring automation platforms such as Control4 and Crestron, including device integration and programming support where required Installing and commissioning CCTV, security and alarm systems Designing, deploying and commissioning high performance audio systems. Experience with DSP, Dirac and Dante is highly regarded Taking full ownership of installations on site, including technical decisions, workmanship standards and delivery outcomes Leading, mentoring and uplifting a small technical team through structure, example and clear expectations Applying calm, methodical and analytical fault finding to complex technical challenges Representing Luxor professionally and confidently with clients, architects and other trades What success looks like in this role Projects delivered with minimal rework and consistently high finish standards Technicians becoming more confident, capable and independent over time Reduced requirement for Director involvement in day to day technical delivery Clients and partners recognising and commenting on the quality of execution What we are looking for Proven senior level experience in high end residential AV, cinema and automation Strong automation and lighting system installation experience, with programming capability highly regarded Exceptional rack building, cable management and system documentation skills Calm, structured problem solving with the ability to think several steps ahead Clear, accurate written and verbal communication with clients and internal teams The ability to lead a team without needing close supervision A genuine desire to continually improve and be the best at what you do Well presented, professional and aligned with a premium brand environment Why Luxor Integration An award winning business with a premium, design conscious client base High performance systems and world class brands, without compromise A respected role with real influence, autonomy and room to grow Sydney based team with a strong professional and performance driven culture If you take pride in doing things properly and want your work to reflect that, we would like to talk.
