Senior Bridge Engineer – Sydney – Shape the Future Rendel Ingérop Pty has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer - Bridges to join our highly qualified and expanding team in Sydney. As part of the Ingérop Group, we provide client‑focused engineering and technical solutions on major infrastructure projects worldwide. What You’ll Be Doing Undertake and lead assignments in Australia and overseas Deliver engineering solutions and report results to managers and clients Undertake structural design and analysis using design software across a broad range of structural types and using various international standards Assist with coordinating design as part of an internal team and liaising with external associated professionals and our clients Assist in the management of the design process that may include other related design disciplines/teams Assist in sourcing and developing business opportunities, producing tenders, and building client relationships Assist and support the development and maintenance of a high level of technical capability to deliver the service offerings targeted Adopt procedures for standardisation of work products and deliverables, and peer review to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery of the Company’s technical work product Maintain strong relationships with other disciplines within the firm What We’re Looking For A degree qualified Civil Engineer, with or working towards Chartership with Engineers Australia At least 7 years’ experience of hands‑on engineering design and analysis particularly in bridges, foundations, retaining structures etc. Experience in the design and construction engineering of highway bridges essential, and of railway bridges is preferred Working knowledge of Australian Standards and other national and international industry standards, contracts, methodologies and procedures Experience of computer analysis of structures and design of structural elements in common materials i.e. steel, concrete, composite Experience should include large scale (c. $200m+), high profile infrastructure projects including Design & Build projects Experience working on major bridge construction and modern bridge erection works and construction techniques would be considered advantageous Working knowledge of structural processes and design, with a particular emphasis on data interpretation, design & analysis, construction and advanced numerical modelling Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively to all levels both internally and with external clients Knowledge and experience in structural analysis/finite element software such as Midas, Robot, Strand7, SPACE GASS, Masterframe, RM Bridge, SAM (Autodesk Structural Bridge Design) What’s in It for You Competitive salary and benefits, including profit share scheme, discretionary bonus scheme, and employee assistance programme Work with a diverse, friendly and resourceful team on interesting and challenging projects Continuing professional development - we strive to offer opportunities for training and growth, which is at the heart of our culture An environment where the support and care for the wellbeing of our people is important to everyone At Rendel Ingérop, we believe in creating a work environment of mutual trust, respect, diversity and inclusion.
