Your Opportunity Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald’s Transport team has an exciting opportunity for a driven Senior/Principal Engineer to join our dynamic Bridges and Civil Structures team in Brisbane. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, multidisciplinary projects in collaboration with government authorities and Tier 1 contractors. Our projects are predominantly infrastructure based, and as a Senior / Principal Engineer – Bridges & Civil Structures , you will be working on large‑scale multidisciplinary projects that shape the communities in which we live. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia. With a focus on creating safe and climate‑resilient infrastructure that benefits the economy, society and the environment, you will have the opportunity to: Lead the design and technical analysis of bridge and civil structure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements. Produce high‑quality engineering documentation, including calculations, drawings, reports and specifications. Collaborate with clients and project teams across multiple locations to deliver integrated solutions. Drive innovation in design while maintaining a strong focus on safety and project timelines. Manage small to medium‑sized projects, including risk assessment and mitigation. Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth. About You Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. RPEQ, Chartered or equivalent credentials suitable for application. Bridge Design experience using AS5100. Understanding of Road and Rail Authority design requirements. Experience in analytical design using Midas Civil or similar. Demonstrated experience in delivering Design and Construct projects is desirable. Leading structures on multidisciplinary projects is ideal. Mentoring team members.
