Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Human Resources Officer focusing on recruitment in Healthcare. Human Resources Officer for a Business providing Primary Healthcare Services to Public Prisons across Victoria. Attractive Salary of $80,000.00 + Super. About the role The Human Resources Officer is a member of the broader People & Culture team and will provide support to the Senior Human Resources Officer and Director of People and Culture. In addition to this, the Human Resources Officer will provide support and assistance to employees and managers across GEO Healthcare. Based at GEO Healthcare's Head Office in Melbourne CBD, the Human Resources Officer is responsible for a range of administrative tasks that contribute to effective and efficient HR systems and processes. You will be responsible for the coordination of recruitment processes, providing advice on GEO policies and procedures, generating sensitive employment documentation, maintaining employee records in accordance with legal requirements and assisting in the implementation of HR initiatives and systems. This role requires all duties to be performed in accordance with GEO Healthcare Values; Understanding, Respect, Accountability, Teamwork and Excellence. Opportunities exist for Part Time 0.8, 4 days a week, Fixed Term, commencing March 2026 for six months. These roles will be focused on recruitment with some additional Human Resource tasks. Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have: Essential Previous experience in high volume recruitment activities. Previous experience in HR administration or another HR position, with knowledge and understanding of HR functions, including recruitment. Experience in interpreting labor laws and requirements including the Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and other related legislation. Demonstrated problem solving capability and ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team. Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with a flexible approach to work efficiently and manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong ethics and reliability with an ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity when dealing with private and sensitive information. Good working knowledge of (and experience using) the MS Office software suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Desirable Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, e.g. Human Resources Management. Membership of the Australian Human Resources Institute. Experience with Payroll processes and an understanding of payroll legislation. Prior experience in a healthcare organisation or health related working environment. Experience using the following software systems; SharePoint, TRIM, KRONOS, Infinium. Other Requirements of the role Ability to work onsite 5 days per week and travel to various sites across Victoria as required. Ability to work within a correctional setting, which may involve indirect contact with prisoners. Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check and pre-employment Medical. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required. Valid and current full Australian Drivers Licence.
