Job Type: Permanent – Full TimeLocation: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia How you will make an impact Project delivery excellence: Lead end-to-end delivery of analytics and AI projects for healthcare and public health clients, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously. Coordinate cross-functional teams with diverse expertise areas, manage timelines, and ensure quality outcomes delivered on time, on budget, and on scope. Technical and strategic leadership: Design and implement AI solutions including agentic AI, machine learning models for predicting health outcomes and identifying risks, dashboards with AI integration, and data strategies. Translate healthcare challenges into robust analytical frameworks. Client trusted advisor: Build trusted relationships with senior healthcare and public health stakeholders that ensure your work drives real impact. Proactively identify and develop follow‑on opportunities by understanding evolving client needs and demonstrating commercial acumen. People development: Lead 1–4 direct reports over time, providing regular, actionable feedback and coaching. Create tailored development opportunities that build capabilities and foster team engagement. Team contribution: Support Quantium Health leadership and the broader Quantium group in delivering strategic projects and initiatives. The Superpowers You’ll Be Bringing To The Team Technical proficiency: 5+ years in a technical analytics environment, leading data analytics and data science projects. You ideally bring together healthcare sector knowledge and technical expertise. Technical and consulting capability: Strong understanding of data preparation, analytics concepts, and model development. Advanced capability in either hands‑on analytics (Python/R, building models and solutions) or consulting (problem structuring, stakeholder management, translating technical findings into business recommendations). Regardless of path, you’re technically literate enough to lead technical teams and make informed decisions about analytical approaches. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is valued as we increasingly deploy solutions in cloud environments. Project delivery: Track record of leading and delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder projects from conception to implementation. Communication excellence: Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to clinical, business, and executive audiences, including the ability to create compelling slide decks. Academic background: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, physics, data science, business, economics, public health, or a related discipline with strong analytical focus. AI enthusiasm: Genuine passion and interest in AI, with active use of tools like Claude or ChatGPT in your work or personal life. You don’t take AI outputs on faith – you verify and validate AI‑generated work to ensure accuracy and quality. Comfort working with modern cloud‑based analytics infrastructure as we deploy AI and analytics solutions at scale. Commercial acumen and trusted advisor approach: You understand project economics and can identify business development opportunities. Whether you’re from consulting or transitioning from industry, you translate technical capabilities into business value and build relationships that lead to sustained client partnerships.
