The Senior Evidence and Information Officer - Programs ensures that ADF's programs and resources are grounded in the latest evidence, collaborating closely with the Program Delivery team to develop, review and update program materials that promote evidence‑based prevention of alcohol and other drug harms. This role combines research, program development and project management expertise to strengthen ADF's evidence‑informed approach across programs such as Good Sports and Local Drug Action Team (LDAT). Key responsibilities Develop, lead and contribute to AOD prevention programs and evidence‑informed projects across ADF core programs. Promote an evidence‑informed culture within ADF and act as a knowledge leader on AOD and behavior change principles. Collaborate across teams to advise on best and emerging practice for prevention of AOD harms and related issues. Qualifications A recognised tertiary qualification, ideally at post‑graduate level, in Public Health and/or Health Promotion or similar. Strong knowledge of alcohol and other drug issues, evidence‑based approaches and/or health promotion and public health strategies and methods. High level of evidence critical appraisal and research skills to critically appraise evidence and translate research into engaging evidence‑informed resources. Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to understand a problem and determine innovative solutions. Strong verbal and written communication including developing effective relationships with a range of audiences. Demonstrated project management skills, with ability to deliver against program and organizational requirements to a high quality. Strong organisational and information management skills.
