About the Opportunity We are seeking a trusted and people‑focused HR Generalist / Recruitment Advisor to support our dynamic corporate and operational teams. This is a high‑impact role suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful partnership with leaders. In this role, you will: Build capability across the full employee lifecycle (recruitment, talent, remuneration, safety, OD and more). Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policies, procedures, Fair Work obligations, award interpretation, and employment legislation. Support strategic people plans and workforce initiatives. The Role This role blends hands‑on HR advisory, recruitment delivery, and remuneration support, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal frameworks. You will work closely with leaders to provide consistent, accurate, and people‑focused HR guidance. Key Responsibilities HR Advisory & Compliance Lead HR queries and provide sound, timely advice across the Business. Interpret and apply Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, relevant Awards, and internal employment policies. Support compliance across employment contracts, working conditions, and HR documentation. Maintain knowledge of legislative changes and advise leaders of impacts to the workforce. Assist with employee relations matters, ensuring a fair, respectful, and legally compliant approach. Prepare HR reporting and maintain currency on HR policies, procedures, and employment case law. Troubleshoot HRIS user queries and elevate complex matters to specialist teams. Recruitment & Talent Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for corporate, technical, and site‑based roles. Prepare job ads, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage offer/onboarding processes. Ensure all recruitment, reference checks, and pre‑employment processes meet legal and compliance requirements. Build strong talent pools and support project mobilisation planning. Remuneration & Benefits Conduct remuneration benchmarking and provide salary recommendations aligned with internal frameworks, market data, and award compliance. Validate allowances, overtime rates, penalty rates, and classifications in accordance with Modern Awards and inline with roster patterns. Support annual remuneration reviews and internal salary alignment activities. Assist payroll with queries relating to conditions of employment, allowances, and compliance. Support the development and consistent application of pay structures and benefits programs. About You Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or related field. Minimum 4 years’ experience in HR, recruitment, or an HR generalist blended role in the Civil, Construction or Mining industry. Strong understanding of the Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards, and employment compliance requirements. Confident in award interpretation and advising on employment conditions, including rostering, site penalties and allowances. Strong communicator who builds trust and credibility across all levels.
