About You You will have experience running a kitchen within an Aged Care Facility which will ensure you feel comfortable stepping in to manage all facets of Food Services. You will have the ability to lead the day‑to‑day production with the assistance of kitchen hands and accept responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen. The Role Prepare and cook meals, ensuring that food is prepared safely and hygienically, and that it meets quality standards. Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, and inspect food supplies to ensure freshness and suitability for consumption. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and other relevant legislation governing food service in Aged Care Facilities. Requirements Minimum of 6 months paid experience in Aged Care Minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or Cert IV in Commercial cookery/ Diploma in hospitality) Food Safety and Handling Certificate Valid National Police Check Fully COVID‑19 vaccinated (in line with state requirements) Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and mobile phone Willing to work outside of Shepparton for short‑term contracts Apply Today We’re actively placing chefs now.
