School Administrator - Part Time - 3 days per week - Maitland NSW Youth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. We offer crisis accommodation and housing services, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, life skills and employment programs, cultural support and community engagement, among other services. We focus on early interventions that empower young people and strengthen communities. Not all children and young people thrive in mainstream schools. Our registered and accredited independent high schools offer a flexible alternative for students in Years 9–12. We operate six independent high schools that are registered and accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Youth Off The Streets is also a member of the Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW). Youth Off The Streets is thrilled to announce the opening of a new Special Assistance School in Maitland in 2026 This marks an exciting opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact in the lives of young people across the Maitland and wider region. About the role: We are seeking a motivated, collaborative and experienced School Administrator to join our new special assistance school in Maitland NSW on a Part Time basis, 3 days per week . The primary purpose of the role is to provide efficient and high-quality administrative support to the School Manager. Key Responsibilities supporting the efficient operations of the client/data management system updating attendance records maintaining official school records producing correspondence/memoranda general filing and other administrative tasks The essential criteria Relevant administrative qualification and experience 2 years’ experience in a similar position Formal training and sound experience in Microsoft Suite and Data Management Systems Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Strong ability to establish priorities and manage workloads effectively Experience using Sentral or similar education database Strong problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task and to work autonomously Proactive and flexible approach to duties Requirements Valid Working with Children Check. National Criminal History Check. Full Australian working rights.
