Global Fashion House is an established and fast‑growing women’s fashion wholesale company based in Surry Hills. An exciting opportunity exists to join our team as an experienced Designer/Product developer. We are looking for a talented Designer/Product developer who can truly identify with the brand's design aesthetic and will work closely with our Head of Product and Brand Manager to develop ranges for our retail customers. Our house brand “Label of Love” is designed for women who love statement colours and prints, in flattering and feminine silhouettes. The Label of Love brand is lifestyle driven, so it is upbeat and stylish yet relaxed and easy to wear. The brand has a focus on using exclusively designed prints, for which Label of Love has established a loyal customer following. This role is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Designer/Product Developer who can translate trends into unique, contemporary designs. Key Responsibilities: Develop seasonal products that are true to brand Forecasting and interpreting key trends for the season Sourcing yardage prints that are unique and on‑brand Sourcing fabrics and trims Preparing style packs for China office Create garment sketches (CADs) with construction details Liaising with production team and China office on all aspects of product development Sample and fit approval to ensure quality standards are met for fit, fabric, colours, trims Adhering to budgeting requirements and targets Achieving high sell‑through result on products Working to a critical path timeline Style and coordinate photoshoots in conjunction with photographer To be successful you will have: Qualifications and 2+ years’ experience in a Designer/Product Development role Thorough knowledge of woven and knit fabrics, and true knit garments Strong technical skills Analytical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator - CAD drawings and some graphic design Microsoft office suite Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, meet deadlines and be self‑managed A love of all things fashion and a great work ethic Global Fashion House is a friendly and creative team, who value talent and recognise hard work.
