Join icon fashion house Aje as Junior Product Developer at our Aje Head Office in Redfern. About this opportunity: Work closely with Design Room Manager to ensure seasonal timelines are maintained according to company wide critical path. Support the development of 3-4 seasons at one time. Support the Senior Product Developer to produce Aje RTW mainline collections according to the brand standards for design, quality, fit, sustainability, pricing structure and margins. Communicate daily with supplier base to troubleshoot issues and ensure that sample due dates can be met. Responsible for nurturing a respectful and positive relationship with Aje suppliers. Build out the initial seasonal tracker including style numbers and CADs. Support initial fabric sourcing as instructed by Designer. Compile all fabric information from supplier including article number, composition, price, width, MOQ and lead time. Send out colour standards to suppliers and organize return lab dips for approval together with Senior Product Developer. Responsible for unpacking parcels as they arrive, ensuring contents is directed to correct team member. Tick off any samples as they arrive for accurate record keeping. Packaging and sending out DHL packages to suppliers on behalf on team on a weekly / bi-weekly basis. Ensure DHL log is accurate and maintained. Play key role in ensuring all samples, data and documents relative to key Seasonal Ranging Meetings are ready and maintained. Support data entry for seasonal bulk upload of styles to AP21. Ensure details are updated as needed. Responsible of organising and preparing seasonal handover tubs to Production. This includes setting up handover tubs by colour and including all approved colour swatches with comments. Participation in fit sessions across Proto and SMS stages, supporting the Senior Product Developer to ensure any pricing, quality or timing concerns can be mitigated. Conduct fabric and garment testing as required whether in house or externally. Logging results for handover to Production. Organisation, storing and rotation of hanging and boxed design samples in the head office to ensure a tidy workspace for all. You will bring: 1-3 years’ experience specialising in development Proficiency in software and systems like Microsoft Excel and AP21 Sound understanding of fabric types and garment construction techniques Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders A proven track record working with offshore manufacturing and technical management of suppliers Ability to manage competing priorities and timelines and ensure deadlines are met What do we offer?
