Zimmermann is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Technical Product Developer to join our Swimwear team on a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract commencing in March 2026. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical development and pattern‑making experience who thrives in a dynamic, design‑led environment and enjoys collaborating closely with creative, technical, and production teams. As a Technical Product Developer – Swimwear, you will develop accurate patterns, technical specifications, BOMs, and production documentation that uphold Zimmermann’s quality standards across Women’s and Kids Swimwear. You will support fittings, liaise with offshore vendors, and ensure each style moves smoothly through sampling, PPS and production approval. Job Requirements Experience in swimwear or lingerie patternmaking (preferred) Strong understanding of garment construction and high‑end finishes Proficiency in Gerber, Illustrator, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of AP21/PLM a plus Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work collaboratively with designers, patternmakers, and offshore vendors Job Responsibilities Patternmaking & Technical Development Create & update all Swimwear Technical sketches in Illustrator. Create and maintain tech packs, including tech sketches, size specs, markers, yields and make details. Maintain BOMs. Develop and update accurate swimwear patterns using the Gerber system for Women’s and Kids categories at a Junior level. Participate in fittings, document fit notes, and implement pattern and spec updates. Liaise with offshore vendors regarding construction methods, new techniques and embellishments. Sampling, QA & Production Support Collaborate with sample machinists to ensure optimal make and production feasibility. Prepare sample markers, review sample quality, compile QC reports & accurate e‑packs. Prepare PPS packs, review returned PPS samples, and update patterns/specs to achieve Bulk approvals. Support Design, Production and Art teams with markers for print placement, and follow through with artwork checks. Process, Organisation & Collaboration Adhere to production timelines and support cross‑functional teams to achieve range completion. Ensure consistent documentation.
