The RoleReporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance and Systems holds the pivotal responsibility of overseeing financial operations, technological advancements, and innovative solutions within the organisation. This role plays a crucial part in steering the financial well-being and technological progress of the company towards sustainable growth and success, while also providing mentorship and direction to the Finance Officer and Business Services Team. The aim is to cultivate a culture of continual improvement and operational excellence. The Head of Finance and Systems is tasked with offering strategic financial counsel, fostering commercial awareness, and aligning financial strategies and systems to meet business objectives, all while enhancing operational efficiencies to elevate our organisational competitiveness.Your responsibilities include:Leading the strategic development and implementation of financial strategies and systems that support the company's growth goals.Evaluating, selecting, and implementing cutting-edge financial technologies and systems to enhance efficiency, precision, and decision-making capabilities.Championing a culture of innovation by encouraging creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement in systems, processes, and practices.Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, while managing financial risks through robust governance and controls.Promoting operational excellence through process streamlining, cost control, and performance evaluation to maximise value and operational effectiveness.Supervising the finance team and collaborating closely with the administration team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of business services across the organisation.Cultivating and nurturing business partnerships; actively engaging with stakeholders across various departments to understand their objectives and challenges.Managing the preparation of monthly management reports and fulfilling all other related reporting obligations as required.Collaborating with the Leadership and Management Teams to establish budgets that support business planning initiatives.Fostering a high-performance culture by providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to team members, promoting collaboration, accountability, and engagement.By embodying exemplary leadership behaviours and demonstrating a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, you play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's financial resilience, technological advancement, and competitive edge in the marketplace.This is a newly established, full-time position that is currently open, as part of our organisational growth strategy.About YouGiven the strategic nature of this role and its impact on organisational success, you will possess a blend of financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a forward-thinking mindset.
