Learn more at Tangara School for Girls is seeking a highly organised and proactive Peripatetic & Ensemble Coordinator to manage and grow our vibrant music programs. This role oversees the Primary Ensemble Program , Secondary Instrumental & Choral Groups , and the Peripatetic Program , ensuring smooth operations and strong engagement with students, parents, tutors, and staff. This is a permanent part time role working approximately 2 to 3 part-days each week, 40 weeks per year . Remuneration for this role is pro-rated in accordance with the Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and develop music programs, timetables, and student enrolments. Manage peripatetic tutors, compliance, and onboarding processes. Oversee instrument hire, repairs, and resource management. Handle financial administration, including budgets and invoicing. Organise concerts and events such as recitals, musical, and school performances. Maintain accurate records and communication across school systems. Support the school’s mission and maintain a visible and engaged presence within the Tangara community, promoting the value of Music education About You: Demonstrable experience in administration or program coordination within a school or a comparable education-based environment. Formal qualification in administration, education support, arts administration, or a related field. Strong organisational, financial administration, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex schedules and compliance requirements. High level of proficiency with digital systems and school management platforms. A collaborative, professional approach and commitment to music education. Experience working within a music faculty, arts department, or co-curricular program in a school setting. Practical understanding of peripatetic music programs, instrumental tuition structures, and ensemble pathways within schools. Experience assisting with the coordination of performances, events, or examinations, such as concerts, recitals, assemblies, or AMEB examinations.
