Manager Risk and Controls Enablement — Commonwealth Bank Overview The Business Institutional and Market Operations Chief Controls Office (BIMO CCO) is a first line of defence function that provides comprehensive and integrated risk services in support of the Business & Institutional Market Operations (BIMO). The value proposition of BIMO CCO is to provide skilled, practical and efficient risk management to support the COO in the delivery of excellent business and customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted risk advisor to Market Operations team leaders and build strong stakeholder relationships. Proactively identify and evaluate risks across processes, systems, and people, including during periods of change or transformation; design and manage effective controls. Analyse root causes of issues and incidents; manage resolution and remediation. Drive a proactive risk and control culture through collaboration. Maintain accurate risk profiles and update for trigger events. Ensure data quality and deliver accurate management reporting. Qualifications and Experience Risk Mindset – proactively identify, understand, and act on current and future risks. Expertise in Risk Frameworks – sound understanding of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks and their practical application. Analytical Strength – capability in risk analysis, root cause identification, and developing solutions to address challenges specific to institutional or operations businesses. Pragmatic & Solutions-Oriented – proactive, adaptable, and innovative approach, embracing change and new ideas to deliver outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Influencing & Consulting Ability – capability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels. Critical Thinking & Data‑Driven Insight – analytical rigor and data leverage to solve problems. Market Operations experience is advantageous. Benefits and Flexible Working We support our people with flexible working arrangements, including part‑time, job share, and flexible start and finish times. You will be expected to spend at least half of your time in office each month, but other arrangements can be discussed.
