We are excited to announce we will be opening a new op shop in Elsternwick in mid‑January 2026 and are looking for new volunteers to join our team from early January onwards. Role purpose Our op shops provide much‑needed funds to support RSPCA Victoria in achieving our vision of ending cruelty to all animals. The op shops also play a visible role in the wider community as the face of RSPCA Victoria. The purpose of this role is to help sell a wide range of new and pre‑loved items. This involves serving customers, assisting with stock rotation, sorting and pricing donated goods, and keeping the op shop tidy and presentable. This role requires the ability to perform a wide range of tasks as required depending on the op shop activity on the day. Flexibility and the willingness to contribute to the team’s efforts are important. Duties include Serving and assisting customers Receiving, sorting and pricing donated goods Displaying and rotating goods for sale in the store Performing cash and EFTPOS sales Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and well presented No two days are the same What we need Be at least 18 years of age Great customer service skills Ability to work in a team Basic mathematical skills Effective communication skills Manual handling ability (up to 10 kg) A great sense of humour About us RSPCA Victoria is a non‑government, community‑based, not‑for‑profit organisation whose vision is ending cruelty to all animals.
