Hader Clinic Queensland Private is a new private hospital facility offering medically supported detox and withdrawal with an alcohol and drug education program. We rely on innovative, solution-based individualised treatment programs. Our highly skilled and trained staff – many of whom are success stories of our program – understand addiction first-hand. Hader Clinic Queensland's treatment focus is to support individuals to move from alcohol and other drug use to abstinence. While abstinence is the goal, Hader Clinic Queensland also aims to support those individuals to become fully functional members of their family and the broader community. Hader Clinic Queensland offers intensive treatment programs incorporating a 25-bed private hospital for detox and withdrawal and a 40-bed residential rehabilitation facility. To sustain long term recovery, Hader Clinic Queensland has a range of aftercare treatment options. About the roleHader Clinic Queensland is seeking a Clinical Counsellor/Psychologist/Social Worker to join our team. This is a permanent part time position based in Gympie QLD. By joining our multi-disciplinary team, you will have an opportunity to further develop your clinical skills both as an individual counsellor and group facilitator in the Alcohol and Other Drugs sector. The role will be 4 days per week, Monday – Friday.About youWe are seeking a candidate with tertiary qualifications and current registration with the appropriate governing body for your profession (AHPRA, PACFA, ACA, AASW). You will have experience in the provision of assessment and counselling services preferably with AOD and dual diagnosis clients. You will need to be able to work autonomously and contribute to the positive culture of the multidisciplinary team. Ideally, you will possess:strong communication and interpersonal skills. effective relationship management skills.time management skills. The ability to be dynamic and flexible. Description of Duties: Provide assessment, one on one counselling, and treatment plan implementation for patients in detox and clients in residential rehab.Facilitate evidence-based group education sessions.Participate in the clinical review process of the clinic; focus on best practice standards on drug and alcohol counselling, treatment, and rehabilitation through quality case reviews; and of the treatment and interventions provided.Foster close liaison within Hader Clinic Queensland to ensure integration and effective communication across program and service areas.Ensure that all patient and client records are maintained according to Privacy and Confidentiality laws.Participate in formal quality review of programs, including accreditation programs and other quality improvement activities.Comply with Hader Clinic Queensland policies and procedures. Qualifications: • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Science or Counselling. Current active registration, Medicare provider number preferred. Experience:Preferred demonstrated experience working within AOD/MH sector.Understanding of contemporary drug and alcohol counselling issues as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation practice.Clinical experience in an area relevant to the alcohol and drug field.Demonstrated understanding of and working in a "12 Step & Therapeutic Community Recovery Program".Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions as well as address specific challenges.Effective clinical report writing skills.Competency in the use of word processing and other relevant computer applications.Current drivers licence.Highly Desirable:• Experience in AOD / MH sector
