Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of students with learning difficulties? Our Narre Warren South campus is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will help to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. As an integral part of our school community and educational team, you act as a bridge between students and their teacher and help to foster connections between students and their peers. By ensuring each student receives the support they need to actively participate in school and class, you'll have the rewarding experience of seeing them achieve milestones they might not have reached on their own. We currently have positions available in our Secondary sub‑school, offering between 3 to 5 days per week (8:45 am–3:30 pm, during term time). Opportunities include both fixed‑term and ongoing roles. Waverley Christian College is a forward‑thinking and culturally diverse Christian co‑educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2 400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025. Qualifications Have or are working towards a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or are working toward qualification in Teaching/Education or Have extensive experience relevant to the duties performed Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities Are able to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and other support staff Can demonstrate high level communication and interpersonal skills Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Enjoy working in a team environment Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities Benefits A range of salary packaging options School fee discounts for staff whose children attend the school (after 12 months) Paid parental leave Flexible work opportunities Wellbeing initiatives Career and leadership professional development opportunities Employee Assistance Program Friendly and collegial community to work with All potential employees will be required to comply with the College’s Child Safety Code of Conduct, Child Safety Policy, and Student Wellbeing Policy.
