Secondary Learning Support Assistant - (109) Position Title Secondary Learning Support Assistant Job Type Fixed Term Contract (Full-time) Secondary Learning Support Assistant Genesis Christian College is an authentic Christian school that provides high quality education. We deliver innovative, relevant education that develops personal excellence and school pride within a safe Christ-centered environment. Our modern, well-equipped campus is located on the north side of Brisbane with an enrolment of over 1600 students from Prep to Year 12. Due to growing needs, we are seeking a suitably qualified, passionate and engaging Teacher Aide to join our Secondary Learning Support team. This fixed term contract is a 5 day a week position (Term Time) providing appropriate instruction, care and support for students with identified needs, for the whole of the 2026 school year. As a Teacher Aide in our Secondary School (we call it Learning Support Assistant), you will be contributing to an exceptional learning environment that promotes the strong aims of an independent Christian School. Key Responsibilities include: Knowing and connecting with students in a manner according to their identified needs Working collaboratively with the Learning Support Leader and classroom teachers for in-class support, deliver set programs and provide adjustments for individual students Use initiative to modify and implement programs Uphold the College's classroom behavioural management system To be successful, you will have: Certificate III in Education Support (or higher relevant qualification) Experience in assisting students, under teacher guidance, in their required subject areas Experience in working with students with complex learning needs Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneNote Current Blue Card An active Christian faith and strong Christian character This position is 8:30am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday during Term Time school weeks.
