Join Our Team at A.B. Paterson College Commencing 2026 This role is Permanent Part-Time, Term-Time A.B. Paterson College is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and expert Junior School Teacher to inspire and support students through high-quality teaching and learning. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in 2026. We are looking for educators who bring professionalism, enthusiasm, and a deep commitment to student development. Successful candidates will foster a love of learning, support student wellbeing, and contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the Junior School. Key Responsibilities Maintain and Prepare Equipment: Develop and follow maintenance schedules, ensure all technology and workshop equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use. Support Teaching and Learning: Assist teachers by preparing materials, laser cutting, and 3D printing prototypes for lessons and student projects. Manage Resources and Inventory: Monitor consumable levels, process orders for materials and equipment, and ensure compliance with purchasing procedures. Ensure Safety and Compliance: Maintain chemical safety records, SOPs, and risk assessments; regularly test safety features on machinery. Workshop Organization: Keep workshops and storerooms clean, organized, and conduct annual audits of all equipment. What We’re Looking For A skilled and proactive Faculty Assistant with experience in technology and workshop support A strong commitment to safety, organisation, and supporting innovative learning experiences A collaborative team member who contributes positively to College life and works well under pressure Someone who embraces flexibility and continuous improvement in technical and administrative processes Practical knowledge of operating woodcutting machinery and 3D printing equipment Willingness to learn and use software such as Adobe Illustrator and Ruby for laser cutting Up-to-date skills in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and relevant databases Current First Aid training (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis) or willingness to obtain Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to obtain Closing Date for applications is in 2 weeks from the date of publication If you’re passionate about supporting innovative learning and ensuring a safe, well-equipped environment for students, we’d love to hear from you Submit your application and please include: A current resume with the contact details of at least 2 professional referees and A cover letter outlining your suitability for this role.
