About the role Technology is a critical enabler of their operational and corporate services, ensuring they achieve their purpose. They use technology to support frontline services through tactical interventions in investigations, while strategically maintaining and evolving foundational platforms and architecture. They are strengthening this capability by modernising technology foundations and applications, enhancing cyber security, evolving processes to adopt emerging technologies, advancing their use of technology through strategic shifts, and collaborating with academia and industry to address challenges and harness new opportunities. This Business Architect role will be responsible for designing and evolving business capabilities in line with the organisation strategy. Duties Engage with executive stakeholders to define strategies, solutions, and business architecture activities Collaborate with leaders, project managers, and IT teams to translate requirements into effective solutions Analyse complex business problems and develop outcome maps, strategies, and roadmaps Design and develop architecture for major organisational capabilities, ensuring alignment across domains Monitor industry trends and shape architecture direction to leverage emerging technologies Contribute to enterprise ICT architecture, support team collaboration, and share knowledge across groups Skills & experience Up‑to‑date knowledge of information technology processes, supported by ongoing professional development Strong ability to build and maintain business relationships and professional networks Experience contributing to and implementing improved ICT practices and proceduresProven capability in mentoring, coaching, and training colleagues Effective teamwork skills in both small groups and broader organisational settings Demonstrated accountability for accurate, timely work delivery, with the ability to share expertise and guide less experienced staff Benefits 5 hours per week Hybrid - Working remotely from an alternate location (including work from home) or flexible work arrangements may be considered.
