Shepparton, Österreich Department of Education Victoria Vollzeit

Department of Education Victoria – Shepparton VIC 14d ago , from Department of Education & Training Victoria Shepparton East Primary School is a small school with a big heart and an even stronger philosophy in student learning and academic performance. The school, set in a picturesque rural location, five minutes from the heart of Shepparton, offers an essential mix of academic, social, cultural and community programs and is well respected in education circles for its continued curriculum excellence. The belief that learning occurs best in a secure and caring environment underpins all student learning and is reflected in our student academic results. Our improvement targets have an emphasis on improving literacy and numeracy by embedding high‑quality, consistent practices throughout the school. Teachers work in teams to analyse student achievement data and develop a curriculum plan that meets the needs of students. Professional Learning Communities and Learning Walks are key systems in the ongoing improvement of curriculum delivery, with students also being supported socially through our Positive School Wide Behaviours Model. The school embraces an open learning design, using this to complement our fluid ability grouping of students for Literacy, Numeracy and Inquiry based learning. Digital tools include interactive televisions in all classrooms, iPads, laptops and every Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 student has their own iPad. The school also boasts high‑quality STEM learning incorporating Lego Mindstorms, Spheros and OzBots. The staffing profile includes the Principal, one Assistant Principal, eight Classroom Teacher 2's and nine Classroom Teacher 1's. Education support staff include a full‑time Business Manager, a part‑time office assistant and five Classroom Support. A dynamic Parents and Friends Association is active in fundraising for purchases such as robotics, new classroom furniture and learning aids and works closely with School Council to make sure appropriate items are purchased in priority. Parents have high expectations of the school and their children and are also committed to supporting teachers by assisting in the classrooms, at school camps and other excursions. Valuing parents being involved in education, our school also timetables parent volunteers who have completed our parent training programme into our classes to support student learning. Shepparton East Primary School has an exemplary performing arts programme which provides students with the opportunity to display their talents to a wider audience through an annual school concert, Senior Choir and the state‑supported Victorian State School Spectacular production. The school has a current enrolment of 200 students.
