Warehouse Dispatch Team Leader Must have forklift License Verdex is a 100% Australian‑owned supplier of industrial storage, safety, and materials handling equipment, with over 40 years of experience. With operations across states, the company serves a wide range of Australian businesses with a comprehensive range of products, from trolleys and lifting equipment to shelving and safety supplies. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dispatch Team Leader to join our team. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will oversee daily dispatch operations, coordinate outgoing orders, manage team workflow, and ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, safety‑focused, and confident supervising staff while also supporting operational tasks. We are looking for an exceptional team player who can lead by example—so a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to high performance are essential. Key Responsibilities Lead by example, champion a safe and inclusive work environment Drive team productivity and cost‑effective operations Monitor order accuracy, quality checks, and workflow Ensure all dispatch paperwork and system updates are completed correctly Train and develop team members, including onboarding new staff Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency Communicate effectively with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams About You Previous experience in a warehouse or dispatch environment (leadership experience desirable) Strong organisational and time‑management skills Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Good communication and people‑management skills Comfortable using warehouse management systems/scanners A positive, hands‑on approach with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency Skills and Experience Previous experience in a leadership role Current forklift licence (LF) – essential Strong understanding of safe manual handling practices Ability to work independently and in a team Basic computer literacy or experience with warehouse management systems Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic Reliable and punctual Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 20–25kg regularly Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Capable of standing/walking for extended periods Here at Verdex we offer a great working environment with a friendly and experienced team that supports and helps each other in everything we take on.
