Trombone/Low Brass Music Tutor

We are looking for an Instrumental Music Tutor to join Emanuel School. You will be an integral part of our vibrant music program. Your expertise as an accomplished musician will be essential in delivering high‑quality tutoring, preparing students for examinations and performances, and inspiring our primary school students through our extensive Instrumental Program (IP). Experience conducting school concert bands and brass ensembles is highly advantageous. This is a part‑time position, commencing from the beginning of Term 1, 2026 . You will work across both the Primary and High school and must be available on Tuesdays. About the Successful Applicant The successful applicant will possess formal music qualifications, have a track record of developing high‑performing young musicians, the skills and confidence to manage student behaviour, and a demonstrated ability to both inspire young people to find their passion in music and motivate students at differing levels of ability. Key Responsibilities Deliver weekly individual lessons for students from Primary to Senior School. Teach primary school instrumental groups (classes on Tuesdays). Potential to conduct one of our Concert Bands. Potential to conduct instrumental music ensembles as part of the IP Program. Hold a current Working With Children Check.
