Overview Join to apply for the Claims Executive role at Marsh McLennan . This role is with Marsh Australia and is based in the Sydney office . It is a hybrid role requiring in-office work at least three days a week. Responsibilities Proactively manage a varied portfolio of strata and homeowner claims, with exposure to other lines of business such as healthcare and liability claims. Oversee the entire claims process, delivering exceptional service, thoroughly evaluating claims to determine policy coverage, and negotiating favorable outcomes for insurer clients. Collaborate with clients, repairers, assessors and other external stakeholders, including insurers, to maintain excellent working relationships and protect client interests. Identify and escalate suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims for internal review and investigation. Provide relevant information and feedback on claims and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors. End-to-end management of insurance claims pursuant to GICOP requirements and ensure compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and standards. Interpret and make decisions on policy terms, conditions and exclusions up to Delegated Authority amounts; escalate and work with senior staff on difficult or complex claims to secure the best outcome. Respond to enquiries within Risksmart service-level agreements (SLAs) and maintain professional, accurate information flow to claims stakeholders. Maintain knowledge of insurance guidelines, court/AFCA decisions impacting claims, and policy changes. Attend relevant product and skills courses, share knowledge with staff, and contribute to process improvements. Provide regular status updates and timely information/advice to clients; liaise with insurers to settle claims cost-effectively and manage claims data and reporting in line with SLAs. Qualifications and Experience Ideally 1–2 years of experience in insurance. Experience working to deadlines (including GICOP) and within SLA timeframes. Broad knowledge of the insurance industry and claims processes. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills.
