Exercise Physiologist/Physiotherapist (Jan 2026) Exercise Physiologist/Physiotherapist - Casual Contractor Positions The Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI), in collaboration with the University of Sydney, is seeking Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists for casual contractor roles in the Congenital Heart Fitness Intervention Trial (CH-FIT). This is an exciting opportunity to work with children with congenital heart disease (CHD), on a world-leading clinical research trial. For further information about the trial, please see the following link - There are several contractor positions available throughout metropolitan and regional Melbourne, including the Yarra Ranges. This role is ideal for anyone seeking additional client hours alongside their current commitments, or for early career Health Professionals. About the study: CH-FIT aims to improve the quality of life, exercise capacity, health outcomes, and prognosis for children and adults with congenital heart disease, through structured exercise training and lifestyle programs. This project is the world’s largest and most comprehensive exercise trial conducted in people with CHD. Main responsibilities: You will be responsible for delivering a 90-minute group exercise program weekly for 4-months. Each exercise session is pre-planned and consists of a warm-up game, a 30-minute combined aerobic and resistance training circuit, and a physical activity skill-based game. You will be required to monitor and report heart rate data and any signs, symptoms, or adverse events that may occur during these exercise sessions. Eligibility: Current ABN Public Liability and Professional - Indemnity Insurance Current First Aid and CPR Working with Children Check Current Membership and Accreditation (ESSA or AHPRA) Successful candidates will have a strong interest in working with children and congenital heart disease.
