About The Role As a Trainee Crew Member, you will be part of a supportive team helping keep Central Coast Council's Waste Facility running safely and smoothly. You do not need any experience – we will teach you everything you need to know Location: Central Coast NSW, New South Wales. Type: Traineeship. What You Will Be Doing Working outdoors and staying active (no sitting at a desk all day) Helping customers sort waste and recycling correctly Using tools and equipment safely (with full training provided) Keeping the site clean, tidy and environmentally compliant Learning practical skills like brush cutting and using specialised equipment such as our remote‑control lawn mower Why You Will Love This Job Perfect first job – training is provided from day 1 Learn valuable skills you can use for future roles All uniforms and PPE provided Supportive team environment where attitude matters most Make a difference by helping our community and the environment Get paid while you learn Who We Are Looking For You are enthusiastic, reliable and ready to have a go You enjoy practical work, working with others and being outdoors You have a positive attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves You have a minimum education of Year 10 School Certificate or RoSA (Record of School Achievement) Ability to undertake training to obtain qualifications in the waste operation field Other Important Information The salary range for these positions sits between $494 to $847 per week ($25.8K to $44.1K per annum) dependent on age and school qualifications + 12% Superannuation This is a temporary full‑time role The role will be able to access a 9‑day fortnight The role is located at Buttonderry Waste Facility – an ability to get to and from work without public transport is a must The successful applicant will have the ability to complete training online Extra Benefits At Central Coast Council we provide team members with a range of extras that help them balance their life when they need it.
