The role is designed for those eager to learn and grow, providing an opportunity to gain valuable skills while contributing to the community. Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer‑focused waste management services, planning and delivering work tasks to meet assigned work plans, timeframes and budgets; using appropriate tools, plants and equipment; adhering to Work Health and Safety (WHS), relevant policies and initiatives on the worksite; and carrying out programmed operational and maintenance work as directed by the Crew Leader. We seek an enthusiastic, honest and reliable individual ready to embrace a dynamic work environment and contribute meaningfully to the team. Your attitude and willingness to learn are as important as your qualifications. Please note interviews will be held on Wednesday 10 December at our Buttonderry Waste Facility. Required qualifications & skills A sincere interest in the waste operation environment and a desire to build a career in this field Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and customers Strong problem‑solving abilities and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances Ability to complete tasks to meet project schedules and deadlines Minimum education of Year 10 School Certificate or RoSA (Record of School Achievement) Ability to undertake training to obtain qualifications in the waste operation field Other important information Salary range: $494 to $847 per week ($25.8K to $44.1K per annum), dependent on age and school qualifications + 12% Superannuation This is a temporary full‑time role The role will have access to a 9 day fortnight The role is located at Buttonderry Waste Facility The successful applicant will be able to complete training online Extra benefits Central Coast Council provides a range of extras to help team members balance their lives.
