SURFACE MAINTENANCE - MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join a team that values collaboration and teamwork. About the role This residential position works a 7/7 roster rotating days and nights working 12 hours per shift. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Surface Maintenance department maintain all plant and equipment located within the surface operational areas in a safe and efficient manner to ensure a high level of availability and utilisation. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, Your Duties Will Include: Mechanical fault finding, breakdown repairs, planned and opportune maintenance. Complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment. Installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment. Diagnose equipment faults and assist with failure analysis investigations. Regularly inspect plant and equipment to ensure it meets and continues to meet statutory and site requirements and determine repair action when required. Assist the maintenance team to manage the site CMMS (Pronto and Obzervr) by ensuring all plant items details, spares lists, and associated maintenance tasks are accurate and kept up to date. Safely perform maintenance tasks undertaken during planned plant and equipment shutdowns. The successful candidate should possess the following: Mechanical Engineering/Fitting trade qualification Minimum 3 years’ experience on fixed plant maintenance (pump rebuilds, jaw crushers, ball mills, screens, belts, feeders) Familiarity with mineral processing plants and associated fixed plant equipment. Demonstrated understanding of preventative/predictive maintenance principles. WorkSafe High Risk Licences including Forklift, Dogging, Non-Slewing Crane and Elevated Work Platform. Basic level of proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (PRONTO and Obzervr) What We Offer Competitive salary offered in line with the relevant classification contained in the Fosterville Enterprise Agreement.
