Plant Operations Manager (Mining & Civil) Myndshift Group supports a number of industries including mining, civil construction and heavy engineering. Myndshift Group have been engaged by our client partner to recruit a Plant Operations Manager . Our client is an established Civil & Mining Contracting business with huge growth plans for 2026 and beyond due to a strong pipeline of work and current tenders on the go. About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead the coordination, mobilisation, and optimisation of our plant & equipment fleet across a diverse range of civil and mining projects nationwide. Based at the Brisbane head office, this role provides the perfect blend of strategic planning and hands‑on field involvement, with regular travel to project sites across Australia. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the management, maintenance, and allocation of all plant & equipment across multiple mining and civil projects Plan and execute plant mobilisations and demobilisations for new and existing sites Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Maintenance teams to ensure plant readiness and operational efficiency Monitor compliance, safety, and performance of the fleet to meet company and project requirements Implement and improve asset tracking, maintenance schedules, and utilisation reporting Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost‑effective deployment of resources Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment uptime and minimise operational risk About You: Proven experience in plant operations, fleet management, or maintenance management within the civil or mining sector Strong understanding of heavy earthmoving equipment and supporting systems Excellent organisational and logistical planning skills Ability to work autonomously, travel regularly, and thrive in a dynamic project‑based environment Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to safety and operational excellence What's On Offer: Brisbane‑based position with national project exposure Competitive salary + vehicle Supportive, growth‑focused team culture The opportunity to shape plant operations across major mining and civil projects Required Details: Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Salary: A$220,000.00 – A$260,000.00 Employment type: Full‑time Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level If you're an experienced maintenance leader looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
