The Platform Engineer role is responsible for the platform management of the Azure Data Lakehouse and its components, including cost optimisation, access management, automated monitoring, issue resolution and service request management. This role contributes to the management of Aurecon Power Bi environment used for the delivery of Enterprise Reports. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’. Responsible for the platform management and maintenance of the Azure Data Lakehouse and its components including Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse services and Microsoft Purview Contribute to the cost optimisation of the Data Lakehouse and associated services Contribute to the management and maintenance of the Aurecon Power Bi environment used for the delivery of Enterprise Reports Responsible for the monitoring and management of the access management for the Data Lakehouse and Enterprise Reporting environment Partner with Data Engineers and Reporting Analysts to optimise the implementation of data pipelines for the delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics Development of scripts and processes for the automated monitoring of the Data Lakehouse and associated services Contribute to the triage, analysis and resolution of identified issues and service requests for the Data Lakehouse and Enterprise Reports What can you bring to the team? Firstly, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying request. Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. You will also need the following : 3-5 years as a Cloud Platform Engineer Knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, deploying and configuring Azure resources using Azure DevOps tools and scripting languages Experience in Azure Data Lakehouse, Cosmos DB, Synapse, MS Purview is required Experience with Microsoft’s logging and analytics services. Experience using Powershell to automate monitoring Experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse methodologies & governance Understanding of GIT and CI / CD workflow using Azure DevOps Python experience desirable Support multiple environments (development, test, production) and a strong understanding of SDLC concepts.
