We operate with the culture of a small company, supported by the resources of a larger parent organisation. We are currently seeking ITAM / Software Asset Management Consultants to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our government clients to manage software assets throughout their lifecycle, ensure compliance with complex licensing agreements, and deliver insights that optimise ICT investment. This role involves a mix of stakeholder engagement, data analysis, vendor management, and process improvement. You will have the opportunity to influence governance, mentor others, and contribute to continual service and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Manage IT assets across all phases of the lifecycle, from planning to retirement. Ensure compliance with software licensing terms and manage complex client software requests. Analyse hardware/software discovery and entitlement data to support compliance and optimisation. Review contracts and licensing agreements to identify responsibilities, risks, and opportunities. Work with clients to audit software usage, quantify licence requirements, and identify optimisation opportunities. Recommend strategies for risk reduction, licence reclamation, software harvesting, and re-licensing. Engage with ICT vendors on behalf of clients and manage stakeholder relationships. Develop client-facing documentation including compliance reports, SLAs, and SOPs. Promote and practice consistent ITAM processes, aligned to industry standards. Mentor colleagues, transfer knowledge to clients, and contribute to company initiatives. SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE We are looking for candidates with a combination of the following: Experience managing software licences across multiple vendors. Strong knowledge of software licensing rules and ITAM/SAM industry standards. Understanding of IT asset management across the full lifecycle. Familiarity with ITAM tools (discovery, deployment, entitlement management). Understanding of ICT systems and service management concepts (e.g. virtualisation, cloud, end-user computing). Experience reviewing contracts, procurement, and entitlement records. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large data volumes. Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex licensing in business terms. Stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues. ITAM-related certifications or training (desirable). SECURITY REQUIREMENTS This role requires Australian Citizenship and the ideally a Federal Government Security Clearance. Preference may be given to applicants with an active clearance. WHY GROUP 10?
